♥♥♥SHARE so you can find it on your timeline♥♥♥ ♥ Browned Butter Lemon Bars ♥ A great lemon bar recipe that is tart, sweet and decadent all in one bite For the Crust 3/4 cup unsalted butter 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup powder sugar 1/8 tsp salt For the Filling 4 large eggs 1 1/2 cups sugar 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp vanilla Crust 1.Prepare a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper, making sure there is a 3-4 inch hangover on each side 2.In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium-high heat until it turns brown and starts to smell nutty. (Make sure to watch it to make sure it doesnt burn) 3.Remove pan from heat and pour browned butter into the bowl of an electric mixer 4.Place bowl in the refrigerator until butter is solid once again, about 20-30 minutes 5.Remove from refrigerator and let it soften slightly 6.Using a paddle attachment beat butter until it is smooth 7.Sift flour, powder sugar and salt into the butter and beat on low speed until well combined, trust me it will come together eventually, have patience my dear 8.Place dough into the prepared pan and press evenly into the bottom of the pan, it should be about 1/4 inch thick 9.Place baking dish in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes, or until well chilled 10.Preheat oven to 350 11.Bake chilled dough for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown Make the Filling 1.While the crust is baking whisk together eggs and sugar in a medium bowl until well combined 2.Stir in lemon juice, flour & vanilla until well combined 3.Pour lemon mixture over the hot crust and return baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, until filling is set 4.Let cool completely before cutting 5.Sift powder sugar over bars just before serving 6.ENJOY!
