I have NO problem with spiders outside, but once they come in my home, they are OFFICIALLY TRESPASSING!!!! Here are some effective DIY ways to get rid of them inside your home-- without pesticides First, peppermint is very effective. Spiders simply hate peppermint so placing just a few drops of peppering essential oils into a spray bottle, adding a little liquid dish soap and filling with water gives you an excellent remedy for ridding your home of spiders. Spray this mixture around your windows and doors and just anywhere that you think they may be crawling around. You can also use vinegar and coconut oil. Mix the two together into a spray bottle and spray around doors and windows, in the shower and under beds. Finally, spiders also tend to dislike citrus oils. Lemons, limes and oranges are great essential oils to spray around if you want a fresh clean smell and a home free from spiders. As a bonus, I have also used fresh cedar sachets in my cupboards and under things to get rid of them!!! I love the smell of cedar and it is so cheap to get new sachets. Change them out every 2-3 months when they no longer smell and you will not only have a GREAT smelling home, but no more eight legged guests!!!
