SHARP BLAST OF AUTUMN INCOMING: A big change to more autumnal - TopicsExpress

SHARP BLAST OF AUTUMN INCOMING: A big change to more autumnal conditions will arrive tomorrow Thursday and persist until Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will tumble from recent highs of 22c to around 13c by Saturday with overnight grass frosts possible also. The culprit is a low pressure system currently off the Donegal coast. This band of cloud is the dividing line between colder air and the current mild, even warm conditions. The front will push over Ireland tonight and tomorrow will be a cool breezy day with highs up around 16c or 17c at best. Tomorrow night under clear skies, temperatures will drop below 5c and some grass frost is possible. Friday will be another cool breezy day though a good deal of sunshine like Thursday once more. An odd light shower cannot be ruled out either. Saturday will be the coldest day as a stern north wind brings rain, some of it quite heavy. Temperatures will struggle to reach 13c and perhaps not much above 10c if the rain stays persistent. Milder air makes a return on Sunday afternoon with temperatures reaching 15c or 16c and things starting to dry out a bit. A big shock to the system is coming! Enjoy todays mild and sunny weather!
