SHE There are people all around her. She hears the laughter and the bubbling conversations. She participates in most of the chatter and nods and ahhs at the right times. She goes through life determined to improve the life experience of all she meets. With her warm smile, she melts even the most guarded of hearts. She lives her life from a detached angle Not quite being able to emotionally engage herself with those dearest to her For fear that they will not stay, whether by choice or by unforeseen circumstances. For fear that she would need to relearn to live without them once they are gone. She is known to many but known by few - or so she concludes. For she is guarded in all things personal. She has mastered the skill of being a chatterbox without saying anything at all. She is your friend, your boss, your partner, your sister, your daughter, your mother. She retires everyday to her isolated state, with no one to speak to. Feeling exhausted from the days energies. She says to herself Tomorrow I shall do better. Tomorrow I shall open my heart Her pillows silently support her and wipe her tears as she drifts into her most private dreams -
