SHOCKING NEWS! MUNA OBIEKWE IS GONE!!! As I launched into internet this morning, I came face to face with this sad, teary and unbelievable news of Muna Obiekwe having died yesterday‘s afternoon around 4.15pm at a Lagos hospital after a battle with Kidney failure. Information I gathered from LIB has it that the prolific Actor had been battling with Kidney but kept it a secret from friends and colleagues! Muna, according to the source, he did not go for his dialysis for two weeks before he died. He was said to have needed money for his health problems but instead of going public to raise money, he told friends he was planning a stage play to raise money but dies before he could do it. This is so sad! It is very had to believe that Muna has gone just like that and most shocking, he died hiding his sickness!! I can’t forget when OJB, a music producer had same problem, he went public and funds were raised for him for a kidney transplant in India. Today, OJB is a Survivor. Others have also followed the same path and most of them were lucky to have received financial grants from the public. WHY DID MUNA CHOOSE TO KEEP QUITE???? I am not trying to blame the dead here but I am his fan and I am very sure that most of us in the house also appreciate the way he interprets his scripts. This is so sad! More depressing that we lost him over a sickness we didnt know about. OH! We just lost another Young, handsome, vibrant and talented Nollywood Actor!!! REST IN PEACE MUNA! WE WILL MISS YOU!!!
