SHOFARDEVOTION 06/1/2014 #WALKING IN THE SPIRIT [2 Cor 5:7]; For we walk by faith and not by sight. Paul tells the Christian that now that you live in the spirit, walk also in the spirit[Gal 5:25]. If the spirit of Christ dwells in you, you live in the spirit. However, it is one thing to live, it is another to walk; to function in the spirit. When he says we walk by faith and not by sight, it is more than the experience of a man walking by the testimony of the evidence of things not seen in the physical realm for example, declaring health even when one still feels pain or confessing success when circumstances speak other wise. Even in the spirit, a man walks by faith and not by sight. Understand that in the spirit, faith is not the substance of things hoped for or the evidence of things not seen. They are seen. What is faith on the earth is wisdom in the spirit. Now walking by sight in the spirit has its limitations which is why Paul says walk by faith. Sight goes to the extent of how far a man can see. But where God is speaking of things that no eye has seen, it is wisdom that carries the man even past the ability of his spiritual eyes to see. This is the place God calls the church to. For as far as Abrahams eyes could see by the spirit, he saw the world. But God wants you to see more than just the world. There is something much bigger than the world; It is God.
