SHOFARDEVOTION 28/09-2014 #THE MINISTER There is a reason why Jesus had the twelve among the multitudes that followed him. There are things and people that come simply because you are anointed. These are not supposed to excite us. These were just following because a man had taken on a certain form. But there are those people who you sought. For these, even when you found them fishing, they would leave their nets and follow you. You found them taking care of animals but they would not even go back to kiss their mothers. You found them on their way to Damascus but they would be humble enough to ask what you want them to do for you. These did not come because you feed them, not because they heard you speak revelation,or because you prophesied upon their lives or because you visited them. These are the same who will stay even when they are stoned, these rejoice when persecuted seeing they are counted worthy to suffer for the name. They are sold out to the gospel. Even in ignorance, they would rather fight for you. They spend and are spent for the gospel. They give them selves wholly to the word. They can even deny marital pleasures for the gospel while others leave because they did not get a man. This is the difference between men who write history and those whose names where only mentioned yet they had the same access.
