SHOOTERS SPORTS BAR LEAGUE REVIEW Leeds City Futsal Club took control of the Shooters Sports Bar League after defeating closest rivals Salad Dodgers in a fiery encounter t go six points clear. After beating them 7-6 in the opening week of the season, Leeds City and Salad Dodgers played out a much tenser affair however it was last year’s champions who prevailed 3-1. Leeds City have now created breathing space at the top of Division One whilst Salad Dodgers drop to third on goal difference. Hyde Park & Woodhouse were the team to profit from Salad Dodgers defeat with a comprehensive win over Develop Futsal 9-3. Develop, who are featuring @Futsal Leeds for the first time, again showed some good play on the ball however the experienced Hyde Park eventually ran out comfortable winners to move onto 12 points whilst the result moved Develop to the bottom of the table. Polish Club meanwhile picked up their first win of the season with an excellent 7-3 win over Leeds & Wakefield Deaf FC B. After five defeats in a row, Polish Club finally notched their first win of the season to move off bottom whilst Leeds Deaf have now lost three on the bounce. Division Two meanwhile saw the top two break away from the pack with important wins as Shooters Sports Bar and Dynamo Douchebags moved six points clear. Dynamo exacted revenge on The Flops for their opening day defeat to make it five unbeaten in a row with a confident 7-3 win. Early pacesetters The Flops have now lost three in a row to find themselves languishing in mid-table after such a promising start whilst Dynamo sit joint top but in second place on goal difference. League sponsors Shooters find themselves maintaining top spot in Division Two following their 6-2 win over Leeds & Wakefield Deaf FC A. Shooters, who’s only defeat this season has been to fellow leaders Dynamo, have now gone three games unbeaten and head the rest of the field thanks to their attacking exploits having scored more goals than any other side in the Thursday League. Leeds Deaf meanwhile find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Division with their sixth consecutive defeat. In the night’s final fixture, Lucky Strikes and LTH Pharmacy played out an entertaining fixture with Lucky Strikes edging the battle 3-2. The win moves Lucky Strikes onto nine points and level with The Flops whilst LTH remain on six points in fifth place.
