SHORTENED Based on natural indices, logical analyses or the gravity of one’s circumstances, we as human have possible time of manifestation “attached” to our expectations. There are things we won’t imagine to happen for us earlier than a decade; there are some we expect could happen in five years; and some other we hope for in few years. This tendency was what naturally informed the position of Martha, after her family was struck with a tragedy- Lazarus, her brother had died after a brief illness. The entire attempt they had made to get Jesus (who was a regular, loving guest at their home) to come down and heal him failed. By the time the Lord eventually arrived, the man was already dead and buried. Yet, “Jesus said to her, ‘your brother will rise again.’” (John 11:23). Martha’s reply was expectedly in order, very logical: “…I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.’”! (V:24). The magnitude of their predicament must have led to the possible time (the last day) she was hoping for the restoration. Nothing suggested any change could happen anytime earlier. And we all have issues like that. Consciously or unconsciously, we have attached the time that we hope some things could likely happen. But the Lord dazed her and did it much earlier than she thought! Lazarus was raised back to life that same day! This is the word of the Lord to you today: that which you have thought would take a long time before ever happening shall happen much earlier. The Lord will do it faster than you expect. It will manifest quicker than you imagine. The Lord is coming for you. He’s shortening the time it could naturally or logically take for you to have your godly expectations. Believe. Prayer: Unquestionable Father, I thank You because You are making ‘it’ happen for me much earlier than I imagine. Thank You because the power of Your Spirit is bringing my expectation into manifestation now. I believe that I receive now in Jesus name. Amen. (Kindly share the daily Empowerment Devotional)
