SHOW # 244 - November 24, 2014 I got to hang with 5 cool musicians, a great advocate for BITS and my crew in the chat room last night! Live, Uncut & Uncensored Conversations With Musicians You Should Know on Music On The Couch! First, Chris Duarte came by and talked about his career...beginning with moving to Austin, TX at 16, seeing SRV and finding the Blues...his 14 albums and which one was not counted when he named his latest, Lucky 13 and so much more. Then talented Lisa Mills / Lisa P Mills took her seat on The Couch and we followed her journey from Hattiesburg, MS to the world and discussed why she decided to rework her 2005 release Im Changing, which IMHO was a brilliant idea! Michael ONeill opened for U2 back when he was 24. He toured with SRV, written songs with Bob Weir and Steve Cropper and many others. His album I Like It Like That includes members of the Phantom Blues Band and is a reason to celebrate. Finally Scott Fitzke form the Colorado Blues Society came by along with Couch Kids Dan Treanor and Erica Brown to talk about the album Dan, Erica and a whole bunch of other Colorado musicians (including Couch Kid John Weeks) put together one afternoon and are now using to fund their Blues IN The Schools Program entitled Jam For Blues In The Schools Thanks to my Couch Crew in the chat room, Chris Lyon, Slider Sliding, George Dudley, Peggy Lee Jamison and Kool Breeze for keeping the chat room buzzing! This will take you to the November Page on Music On The Couch: goo.gl/aNhCA8 Chris Opens The Show. Lisas Segment Begins At The 48:00 Mark. Michaels Segment Begins At The 1:34:19 Mark. CO Blues Society Segment Begins At The 2:20:33 Mark. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
