SHOW FORTH THY GOOD WORKS!!! My precious phone played a prank on me some time ago and I would like to share with you guys. I needed to listen to music on my phone and I decided to play the songs without using my ear-piece and viola, I found out that my phone’s speaker wasn’t working! My phone refused to show forth its good works this time around (*sadface*). I became frantic and worried; I even had to call a friend just to let someone know the predicament my phone had put me into after all the pain I took to ensure that I was careful with it so that nothing ever goes wrong with it (can you imagine that? SMH and LOL @myself). Anyways, this particular incident taught me a very vital lesson and here it is: just like my phone was playing the music without ringing out, many of us as children of God have decided to silence the good work God is doing inside of us, we are not showing forth the good works God is doing in our lives to the glory of HIS name. Some of us are scared of what others would think of us or say about us, some of us want to remain in our comfort zones and refuse to go all out for God; some of us believe that we are being humble when we act that way amongst many other reasons. Brethren, I want to remind us that Matthew 5:16 says “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (NKJV). Hence, it is a commandment for us as children of God that all that our Father has communicated to us in our walk with Him, in our places of prayer and quiet time be made manifest for all men to see that they may see the way and manner in which we live our lives and glorify our Father in heaven. As we go forth into this day, let us go with this mind that we would show forth the good works God is doing in our lives to the glory of HIS name. Shalom!!!
