SHOWER and TUB CLEANING MADE EASY Posted on March 2, 2013 by admin One of the questions I get asked the most is about cleaning soap scum from tubs and showers. Today I want to give you a formula that I have used and demonstrated on TV. It’s one that really does work. Take a two cup measuring cup and fill to the ONE cup mark with vinegar. Heat in the microwave until it is nice and hot, but now boiling. To that add 1 cup of Dawn Original Dish Washing Liquid, filling to the 2 cup mark on the measuring cup. Stir it well. Pour into at least a 2 cup spray bottle. Spray down the shower walls and floors and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Then scrub with a gentle scrubbing sponge. The soap scum, greasy gunk and even ring around the tub will disappear! Rinse it well. If you have to stand in the shower or tub to do the walls, spray the walls first and clean them and then do the shower/tub floor. This works on tile, marble, fiberglass, pretty much any surface. It will also clean glass shower doors and glass block showers. If you have greasy black footprints on your shower or tub floor, cover them with a good coating of Dawn Original Dishwashing Liquid. Let this sit overnight to do it’s work. Next morning, before you hop in the shower, use a scrubbing sponge of even better a stiff brush if you have a fiberglass textured floor, to remove all the dirt and rinse it well.
