SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVICE - VICTORIA Severe thunderstorms rapidly developing from the Victorian border west of Nhill back towards the Adelaide hills near the wind change. Strong north to northwest winds and temperatures in the 40s this afternoon continue to pose a severe threat of bushfire in Victoria and should the thunderstorms form up into a line there will exist the potential for a significant wind damage threat as well as the serious consequences which such winds would pose for any going fires. Avoid travel in rural areas if possible today. The heat and relatively high humidity for a hot day pose risks for anyone physically exerting themselves outside. Be careful out there! Keep a weather eye on the sky later today as any thunderstorms will pose a threat of damaging winds exceeding 100 km/hr.
