SIGNIFICANT WEATHER FORECAST FOR SEQLD / NENSW TODAY HEAVY RAIN, FLASH FLOODING, DAMAGING WINDS A RISK * Request to Dot for news feeds share and tag to family and friends * Please read carefully. • A surface trough currently lies from the Sunshine Coast through Brisbane down into NENSW. It has already produced Heavy Rainfall to 140mm over night with flash flooding. This surface trough is forecast to deepen during today and shift slightly west peaking in intensity late this afternoon (Image 1 red and yellow wind shading). • From Sunshine Coast West to Dalby and all areas south to Armidale and Coffs Harbour including: Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe.... • Showers and Rain areas with moderate to Heavy falls possible, Flash Flooding possible, 12 hr rainfall totals may reach 150mm in some locations. Thunderstorms could also develop with Heavy Rainfall leading to Flash Flooding. (Image 2 conservative 24hr rainfall totals) • Strong and possibly Damaging Winds developing along the Great Dividing Ranges and Southern Border Ranges from Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe to Tenterfield (Image 2 red and yellow shaded winds) • Be Prepared, Be Aware, Be Safe and keep a close eye on radar, warnings and updates. If its flooded forget it! Its been a rough night out here camping we were hit by strong winds and rain at 1am so some scrambling was done to secure tarps ect .
