SIMPLE WAY OF PRAYING & RECEIVING FROM GOD By Bishop Mirai Chinoda 55/2014, 25 July 2014 POWER TIME WORD DEVOTION written for you by Bishop Chinoda It is hard like prayer is a literal translation of a Shona language adage, Zvakaoma somunamata. The actual truth is in the opposite meaning of that adage - Prayer is simple and straight forward. A very simple way to praying and receiving from God is found in (Mark 5 vs 25-34). A woman with a chronic bleeding problem was healed by the Lord Jesus Christ after the following simple way of praying: 1. Hear Gods Word and hold it fast in your heart. (Verse 27). 2. Think through Gods word towards the desired results. (Verse 28). 3. Embrace the Word and keep it in your heart. (Verse 27 & 28). 4.Talk the Word inside you and loudly as well (Verse 28). 5. Walk the Word and fight spiritually agaist all opposition - Press On! ((Verse 27). 6. Grasp - Take hold (Greek - lambano) of your desire. (Verse 27). 7. Receive by faith - then feel it. (Verse 29) 8. Acknowledge it - TESTIFY (Verse 33). 9. Praise and thank God loudly without fear, doubt and hesitation (Verse 33). 10. Hold onto your miracle and go for more! (Verse 34). Everyone must have Gods gifts. He has more than enough. He is our Good Father. The way of asking God in prayer is as simple as outlined above. ACTION: Repent from thinking and believing that receiving from God through prayer is hard. God made it simple. GUIDANCE TO YOUR PRAYER: Thank you Heavenly Father for putting the bread of what I need on the lowest shelf so that I can reach it. Help me fight opposition knowing fully well that you are not hindering me from receiving from you. Instead, having given me your son Jesus Christ to die for me, you have availed everything else to me (Romans 8:32).
