SIN OF OMISSION To omit means, to take away, leave out........We begin with what Jesus said to the scribes and Pharisees.....Matthew 23:23-24..........Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites......for you pay tithes of mint, and anise and cummin and have OMITTED the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith; there ought you have done, and not leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat and swallow a camel. Hey, it is still happening!! People look at the outward appearance in religion, more than the inward state of the heart. Now in the fifth chapter of John. Jesus healed the lame man at the pool.......thirty eight years is a long time in that condition. Then Jesus told the man, Pick up your bed (mat) and go............. WHAT? HEY ITS THE SABBATH DAY!!!!! The reaction of the Jews was, verse 10: The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured. (MADE WHOLE) Its is the Sabbath day: it is not lawful for you to carry your bed!!! Hey!!! They OMITTED the miracle, the mercy, the faith and judgment, but they were quick to condemn him with the law!!! Can I just tell you, the man was only doing what Jesus told him to. :) Ill let you think on this and we are going to do some deep digging in a while........ stay tuned
