SIN OF UNFORGIVESS “Then Peter came up to Him and said, Lord, - TopicsExpress

SIN OF UNFORGIVESS “Then Peter came up to Him and said, Lord, how many times may my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? [As many as] up to seven times? Jesus answered him, I tell you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven!.” Matthew 18:21-22 (AMP). From the passage above, unforgiveness is sin. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:12: “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” That means if you want God to forgive you, you have to first forgive that person who sinned against you. Matthew 5:23-24 (AMP): “So if when you are offering your gift at the altar you there remember that your brother has any [grievance] against you, Leave your gift at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your gift.” Clearly, you can conclude with me that your prayers, offerings, tithes, sacrifices, donations & gifts, amount to nothing before God & to you if you cannot forgive. Why? Because any action that is against the Word of God is sin. There is an enemy called the accuser of the brethren that accuses us of sins; & will ensure you do not get the benefits in giving gifts to God. Matthew 16:22-23(AMP). “Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” Hey! This is clearer now, the same enemy that games on your ignorance is the same that goes to your source of blessing to accuse you for not forgiving your brethren for what he (Satan) did. Notice therefore, that Jesus addressed the spirit that manifested, not the vessel (Peter). So, please, convert that bitterness against your brethren to holy anger against the evil spirit(s) that is manifesting through him. Assignment: 1. Reconcile with that brother, sister, in-law, friend, co-worker, etc., that offended you. 2. Begin to apply godly wisdom. God bless you!
