After months of trying to find the best mix of participants, activities, and supporters for a Davao Tourism Business Mission to Singapore, we were finally able to swing it by being part of a proposed larger Philippine Tourism Business Mission led by the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board. The first component of the mission is a Davao Food Festival at the luxury brand Conrad Hotel from July 17 to 23 with chefs from MarcoPolo Davao doing Davao flavors for the week. The Kalumon PerformingEnsemble shall bring in the color, music, and pageantry projecting the cultures of the city. A country product presentation, B2B sessions and a separate business encounter for MICE players as well as a press conference are slated after the food festivals launch. SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, will be our official carrier.The Davao City Tourism Operations Office, Marco Polo Davao, Seda Hotel, Park Inn by Radisson, Microtel by Wyndham, SMX Davao as well as members of the Davao Association of Tour Operators, Davao Travel Agencies Association, Dabaw Tour Operators Association and NAITAS Davao have confirmed participation.
