Language: Analyzing words, Phonograms, Sight Words Botany: Parts of a Tree Sensorial: Curvilinear Figures Mathematics: Decimal System Group: Dr. Maria Montessori Birthday Malaysia National Day North and South America Continents Sang Moon Festival Song Reading Parents Programme: We are very appreciative for any help we receive in our ‘Reading Parents’ programme. Mandarin Introduction to Continents Parts of a leaf Rhyme: ‘Moon Festival’ Song: ‘Autumn is here’ Objects found at home (spoon and bowl) EXTENDED-DAY Language: Singular and Plural, Non-phonetic speech sounds Mathematic – Decimal System (Change Game) Sensorial – Superlative and comparative terms (big, bigger, biggest; small, smaller, smallest) BIAN DANG BAN (Newton) Numerals in Character Form— 1 to 10 (一 到 十 ) Language Naming objects within the class (chair, table etc.) Characters practiced this week (手、口、个、朋友、车、男、女) Rhyme— ‘The Moon’ Song— ‘Autumn Leaves’ Culture— Practices for Mid-Autumn Festival BIAN DANG BAN (Broadrick) We continued our work in the following area: Rhyme about fruits Talk about the Mid-Autumn Festival Mid-Autumn Festival Songs We continue with rehearsals for the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration which will be held on 8th September 2014. All are welcome and look forward to seeing you on that evening. The festivities start at 6:30p.m. HINDI Grammar: Use of verbs within a sentence Group: Names of colours and parts of the body Culture: Ganesh Chathurthi. A story about the birth of Lord Ganesh Song: Om Jai Jagadish Hare We are calling for volunteers to be ’Hindi Reading Parents’. (We accompanied our singing with musical instruments (bells and shakers).
