SINGLES LIFE-LINE: IT IS NOT BRIDAL TRAIN THAT MATTER BUT BRIDAL TRAINING Those who eat up their tomorrow today will live in their yesterday when we get to days to come. God’s Word: “The riches rule over the poor and the borrower is servant to the leader”. (Prov. 22:7) Most singles dream of making their weddings big. They look forward up spending hundreds of naira to make their wedding day memorable. Some go into borrowing to achieve this goal while it takes them several months or even years to pay up their debt. In some cases, the debt burden end up breaking a supposedly good marriage. Never borrow or buy anything on credit because of wedding. Never allow wedding bills to destroy wedding bell. It is not how elaborate a wedding is that makes a marriage a success. It is not the number of people in the bridal train that determines a joyful home but the bridal training. Cut your cloth according to your materials. You don’t need all the wines in this world. You need not import your wedding gown and ring. You need not feed the people that are not hungry. If it is glamour of a wedding that determines the success of a marriage, the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana should be the best. But it was not. Even if you have millions of naira in your account, it is wise to invest it than spending it on frivolous things. If you slaughter hundred cows for your wedding, people will eat them. Even if it is ordinary fish you offer they will still eat and go to their houses. Be kind to yourself. Spend little for wedding. Keep the rest for your marriage. Be wise. Be moderate. Don’t be wasteful. Avoid spending unnecessary money, just to make your wedding a memorable one. Some singles refuse to get in their late thirties because they have not been able to save millions of naira needed for their dream weddings. That is totally wrong. NEVER ALLOW WEDDING BILL TO DESTROY YOUR WEDDING BELL
