SINGULAR THOUGHTS ON LAW VERSUS SPIRIT LIFE The difference between the law and spirit led life is that under the law one man or select few men speak to men on behalf of God while in spirit life God speaks to all and every spirit filled man on his own behalf. Under the law, the dictates of it were written on a tablet of stone. That means it could easily be erased by natural elements, including systems of natural mortal men. And indeed the erasure did come. The law was called the law of Moses hence the law had a mortal span just as the mortal author. On the other hand, the author of the spirit life is eternal hence guaranteeing eternal life to all who live under it. His requirements are now written in the hearts of men. This law of spirit life in Christ Jesus endures forever; it is perfect. As the Church of Christ we must therefore not just be filled and led of the spirit but must live a surrendered life as we walk in step/sync with Him. The greatest demand in the spirit life is surrender of our will. Until that is done, self will and laws of men will prevail. That painfully means eliminating mortal mediators, including self!!! Our participation in each others spiritual life must must therefore be limited to that fellowship and encouragement which confirms what the spirit has already laid in each of our lives. As a priest to Family Founders (singles) one of the major concerns we have to deal with is courting or dating couples who hear more of their pastors (and other men and women of God) than they hear from the Holy Spirit. And instead of Men or Women of God directing the singles to hear God for themselves, they make decisions on their behalf. This is tragic and a violation of the law of spirit of life in Christ Jesus, where all have access. As a result we keep establishing weak foundations in marriages. I beseech you singles to seek, yearn, crave and desire a spirit filled and led life. Hear God for yourself. Honor and respect the men of God but do not be at the mercy of voice of a man. Take a posture of intimate relationship with God that establishes your capacity to hear Him clearly on all matters of your life. Otherwise you will walk in error. All those who walked in the law struggled. As long you continue hearing the voice of men/women of God, friends, colleagues, parents, relatives etc.. more than you hear the voice of God, you will enter into limitation in the family life you so desire to establish. Hearing God for ourselves is a sure way of establishing enduring foundations in marriage. The ancient gates establishing in error by our fore parents will be brought down by this new life; spirit life where you are clearly hearing God for and by yourself. As a priest to the singles, my role as a father is to direct them to hear God for themselves; to hear clearly from the ultimate Father!
