SIVAN VISHNU BRAHMA (in one statue this is only one temple in world). The Thanumalayan Temple, also called Sthanumalayan Temple is an important Hindu temple located in Suchindram in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, India. Famous Temple in southern tip of India. There is a large HANUMAN statue is the main attraction in the temple and “vada mala” pooja is special for this Hanuman. The statue is 18 feet high and depicts ‘visuvaroopam‘. The Thanumalayan Temple is of importance to both Shaivaite and Vaishnavite sects of Hinduism, as the name Stanumalaya denotes Trimurtis; Stanu means Siva; Mal means Vishnu; and the Aya means Brahma. Sage Athiri and his wife Anusuya were leading a holy life in Susindram performing penance. During his absence, the three Murthys Brahmma, Vishnu and Shiva visited Anusuya asking for food. When Anusuya began feeding them that they could not accept her hospitality as she was wearing clothes. Anusuya prayed to her husband and spilled on them the water with which her husband’s feet were washed and the Gods became children. She breast fed them, put them in a cradle and made them sleep. The consorts of the Murthys, Saraswathi, Mahalakshmi and Parvathi came in search of their husbands and begged Anusuya to return them in their true forms. Anusuya obliged. The temple was built in memory of this incident installing the three Murthys in one form.
