SKEETER UPDATE!! From his foster mom: Just walked in the door and I have an update on Skeeter. Got to spend some tie with him today and he was moving better than he was yesterday. The vet tech actually had him out playing and running (which is not fast for Skeeter) but they are getting him moving. When he saw me he used his cute swagger style that he has and moved quickly to come see me. He definitely recognizes me and that is wonderful. He kept pushing his head into my hand and staring into my eyes. He knows he is loved and being cared for and that so many wonderful people are pulling for him. Unfortunately, he did not get to come home with me again. He is very skinny. Now that he is shaved, you can see and feel every single rib and with him not wanting to eat, they are concerned. They have him on heart food but are spoiling him with lots of treats and giving him whatever he wants to fatten him up. Once we see that he is eating on his own and they have the pain under control, then he will get to come home. He is a fighter and has many battles ahead of him but he has proven that he wants to live and fight and be loved and my heart is happier today. One day at a time but today was a good day when I saw him look at me and was wagging his tail and made his way to me. I gave him hugs and kisses from everyone and he knows he is loved by so many. What an amazing spirit Skeeter has and I still am so grateful that he came to my house to be fostered and is showing me what resilience truly looks like despite pain and suffering and we could all learn so much from this little guy who has beaten the odds so far so lets continue to pray for him and send well wishes because its working. Thank you my friends for everything you have done and continue to do for Skeeter-Doo. Skeeter could still use our help. Please Be That Somebody!
