SKILLZ OUT OF BANYANA! Lydia “Skillz” Monyepao will no longer be managing the Banyana Banyana team. She resigned from this post at the end of February to take up a Deputy Director of Sport post at TuksSport. A former Accountant with Ernst & Young, Lydia has worked as Team Liason Officer (Banyana Banyana) at the 2010 CAF African Womens Championships (AWC), as Marketing Co-Ordinator (Soccer City) during the 2010 FIFA World Cup and as Sports and Communications Officer at Wits University. Skillz joined the South African Football Association in February 2012 and worked with the Banyana Banyana at (the): - 2012 Cyprus Women’s Cup, - London 2012 Olympics, - 2012 CAF AWC (Equatorial Guinea), and - 2013 Cyprus Women’s Cup. She represented Banyana Banyana at the 2002 AWC (Nigeria), the 2003 All Africa Games (Nigeria), and the 2004 AWC (South Africa), earning 20 international caps and 4 goals. Between 1997 and 2006 she played for Wits University Ladies FC, Soshanguve All Stars FC and Soweto Ladies FC. This former Witsie was also part of the SASSU (USSA) teams that participated in the 2001 and 2003 World Student Games in Beijing (China) and Daegu (South Korea) respectively.
