SL8R COUNTDOWN #16: For those that are just joining in the action, we are counting down the top 20 Capt SL8R vids of his days at the helm leading us up to the return of Kyalami on 11/06/13. Ahhhhhh the good ol lesson of being on time.....we have all endured it. In this vid we all get to witness Capt Cole getting an up close an personal look at the after effects of being late to work. This vid also became instrumental in influencing the structure of Capt SL8R Charters run schedule. Lets break it down: Cole shows up 30 min late to work causing Blue Tangs 1st boat of day to depart late. This chain reacts boat 2 and makes that departure late which chain reacts boat 3. Pushing to make it back to the dock prior to Sundown, an exhausted crew sets up the boat for the final dive of the day. As Capt SL8R calls Dive! Dive! Dive! a sea sick diver turns and projects what appears to be a Ramen Noodle Delight into Coles face just before stepping off the platform and descending to the reef. ***It is fair to note that Capt SL8R Charters embraces all things regarding Sea Sickness. Divers are encouraged to Go for Distance, while Sound Effects will earn Extra Credit and a Ginger-Ale-Rinse post vomit. What we learned: 1. Be on time. Tardiness forces a chain reaction. Preperation is everything. Accountability is required. 2. Capt SL8R made notes of the early Blue Tang days and the effects of Multiple Trips in one day. He vowed that if he ever started his own Charter only SINGLE trips would be scheduled. Customers will receive maximum energy levels and attention from crew and no guest will feel rushed because of a looming boat turn-around. Fast Forward: ** Cole has NEVER been late since. True Statement. In fact he is now usually EARLY. ** Kyalami offers ONE Trip departing at 10AM Wednesday thru Sunday.
