SLEEPER goes to his Forever Home!!! Im a 13 year old boy who had a mama and a home my entire life, she loved me more than anything else in this world and I loved her! She got sick, passed away and I was left homeless! My heart was broken - not only because my mama passed away but also because people who knew me since I was a tiny kitten didnt want me :( The first couple of weeks at the Center it was sort of fun and an adventure but than I realized that no one was coming for me. I couldnt eat, had no energy - just felt like sleeping the day away! A former Volunteer heard about me and drove all the way from Palm Desert to meet me and brought her Mom Paula! Her Moms elderly cat recently passed away and her Mom knew exactly how I felt - you see, she felt sad too! When Paula and I met it was like wed each found what was missing. I needed a mama to love me more than anything else in this world and she needed a loving, gentle boy who wanted a good cuddle, long conversations and would fill the part of the bed that was now empty. The ride home to Palm Desert was the longest ride of my life and the happiest day Ive ever known! IM HOME FOREVER! AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!! love, SLEEPER (now Ziggy)
