SLEEPING BETTER I recently started experimenting with a FitBit - TopicsExpress

SLEEPING BETTER I recently started experimenting with a FitBit which can track not only physical activity but sleep hours. I have to say I was impressed with 2 things. One was that on a busy work day when I hadnt had a chance to move around much, looking at how few steps I had taken was very motivating to take a short walk before getting in my car or when I got home. I saw a recent article that using a pedometer increases ones physical activity/day by about 20%! That is pretty good for something so simple. The second was a corrolation of how I felt and how productive I was the day after a night of adequate sleep compared to a night of insufficient sleep. This feedback has led me to focus more attention to getting into bed at a reasonable hour as much as possible so I give my body enough time to re-charge. Attention to turning out the light at a similar time each night has allowed me to improve my sleep patterns and feel more rested on a daily basis. I hear about sleep issues from many patients. I thought this link described some common, helpful suggestions on how to improve the quality of your sleep. Enjoy this quick read and sweet dreams! mdvip.mymedicalforum/conversation/sleep-better-with-these-8-tips
