Our womens group Help For Women, Waterloo called us yesterday and gave us some updated information: They do need the public medical clinic that we want to support, where they can safely give birth to their babies and where their children would be adequately cared for. BUT at this cruel time of unemployment and hunger they need even more an opportunity to support themselves and their families. They told us that their most urgent need is small business revolving loans on appr. 300 000 leones (= 62 €) each. We asked them how many women are ready for this venture immediately and they said 30. 30 x 62 € = 1860 €. Thats our next goal, folks!
