SMH. GOD BLESS AMERICA! Siiigh. **Where is FLORIDAS STAND YOUR GROUND LAW IN THIS CASE WHERE THIS YOUNG MAN WAS A DEFENDING HIMSELF??!! (FIRST however, I must give props to the victim who testified honestly and the arresting officer & the Judge who tried to do their part in being fair.) ** I was watching the movie Sally Hemings: An American Scandal (on Comcast ON DEMAND - expires 11:55pm tonight Dec14.) I had to take a break to look up the historical facts of the story as I only knew a few details. In light of the recent events relevant to Race, here in the US, I found myself feeling a strong sense of despair over the evils of Slavery & how much the repercussions echo on, even to this day.
