SMIlLE!! Yesterday our sweet Brother Will was given his looooong overdue 1st dental floating to balance his jagged and tortuous teeth. As Brother teeth most likely never had a dental balancing before in his life, we could only do small adjustments this time. First Dr Katherine Szabo took down the large tooth hooks in the front and back of his mouth. Then onto filing down the sharp molar points that are ulcerating to the inside of his cheeks. Then reduced his upper and lower overly long canines. And one rotten molar extricated quickly. How he could chew was a miracle. But then hes been a miracle to us since day one! Dr Katherine gave Brother a sedation, an anti-inflammtory and pain relief before even starting. She also offered him rest breaks every 3 minutes and lowered his head and relaxed the jaw speculum. All to keep Brother in the best In another 3-4 months we will once again perform another dental adjustment, one of three he needs in total. Adjustments will need to be done very slowly so that his mouth can adjust to the new mastication pattern. Hes being given anti-inflammatory medication for the next 3-4 days to ease his new chewing pattern. Heres a peak at Brothers dental.
