**SNEAK PEAK** Join us for an Egyptian electro-dance revolution via Electro Chaabi, a documentary by Franco-Tunisian filmmaker Hind Meddeb - now part of our official selections for #AFF2013! Drawing from "chaabi" and "mahragan" folk music, traditionally played at weddings and carnivals, "electro chabbi" is a genre at once informed by the "old" while imbricating gradients of pop, trance, reggae, electronica, and hip-hop - a hybrid of forms and a hybrid of styles all converging in an underground post-revolution and media savvy youth movement seeking "to incite emotion and public commentary on life in Egypt" - a sentiment that has existed at the root of mahragan music since the 1960s. So tell us! Are you ready to get your groove on? WE MAKE. WE BELIEVE.
