SNOW UPDATE: Oak Harbor Washington is now under a Winter Weather - TopicsExpress

SNOW UPDATE: Oak Harbor Washington is now under a Winter Weather Advisory. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible. CZ. Still looking for that convergence zone to set up. Winds are starting to become strong along the entrance to the strait and are predicted to spread east. The other part to a CZ is westerly winds in the south sound which still have not picked up yet. CZ, should it finally develop, will be sometime around 10pm as indicated on one of the weather models (the other one has not released an updated version yet). This is in line with the timing of the above advisory for snow between 9pm tonight and 11am tomorrow. Temps did rise slightly, to 40, but are starting to decline again. North winds are starting to be picked up by weather stations along the west side of the Fraser Valley River. This is in line with what the models have been saying. It is wise to prepare for slippery and icy roads but keep in mind it wont last too long, and is not a widespread event. Temps on the other hand will struggle to get above freezing for the next few days. Stay tuned!
