SO BUSY! Heres photos of one HD set built this last month, a nice relic PG neck and 59 bridge destined for a Burst Guitars magnificent replica Les Paul, this set has become the most popular set Ive ever built, even the toughest skeptics and all other brand owners have all become believers in the hard proof of my years of research and resulting products, once they can play these for themselves. A high percentage of my customers own real vintage PAFs, so they are the hardest to please, they have EARS, and are the best educated players when it comes to actually playing the real thing; many of them prefer my work because the sets I build, unlike vintage pickups, are better matched, so you dont get a real boomy neck and a brassy sounding bridge. The 59/PG set represents what the majority of classic rock heroes were playing, meaning the higher wind PAFs that werent really bright (like most of them were, for instance), Peter Green and Allmans preferred pickups both were around 8.6K bridge and 8.2 neck; Pages werent out of that range with his originals PAFs. With vintage amps, this range of push (NOT OUTPUT) worked well with vintage amps which were cranked all the way and controlled from the guitar. This is the recipe for tonal bliss, no pedals, no master volume. The other HD sets all get excellent raves from various professionals and touring artists, but this PG/59 combo really seems to have hit a nerve with everyone who is currently using them. Ill possibly have another opening for one of these sets in a few weeks, I always announce here on Facebook first. And please remember, my work is NOT the work of a hobbyist/amateur, the research I did preceded and was the most in-depth research on PAFs that has ever been done, and took YEARS to do. There is no individual, no company that has equaled this effort, simply because the money and time it took to figure all this out (14 years and $$$$), is not something any commercial company would do. I didnt do this to make money. When I started this research no one cared about PAFs, no one wanted anything accurate, everyone thought a hand wound kit bucker was just wonderful and they all told me it couldnt be done and I was crazy to try. Follow your heart, and thats what I did. I did this work myself, for my EARS, for my soul, for my own guitars. Now I can share that with you. Enjoy!
