SO CLOSE!!! SO CRUEL!!! Erris Under 13s were away to Straide & Foxford and put in one of the greatest performances ever seen by an Erris team. S&Fs outstanding number 11 scored three goals early on but Erris dug in and made it to half time without conceding again. Eamonn Fallon capped his debut by scoring two goals, one of them a diving header. Mark Harding scored and Diarmuid ODonnell nearly burst the net with our fourth. Unfortunately their number 11 scored again and in a cruel blow they added a fifth. No shame in losing 5-4 away from home to the team that recently bet Celtic to win the Mayo Cup. An outstanding performance from all 16 who played, and praise also goes to the 11 squad members who could not travel but make the competition for places so intense. Massive.
