SO HAPPY TO SHARE THIS UPDATE ON OUR DEAR FRIEND ABBY: Abby is going home! Since we arrived at rehab almost 3 1/2 months ago, we’ve been praying for the day when Abby would be released and that her stay would be much shorter than any doctors expected. This week God’s plan continued to unfold as doctors agreed to let her continue therapy on an outpatient basis beginning Friday, August 22nd. Deb and I are currently interviewing new therapists and doctors to continue Abby’s therapy in Connecticut. Please pray that God leads us to the right people who will assist her in a complete recovery. Over the last few weeks Abby has also made significant progress in her swallowing. She has been cleared to eat most regular food and recently had her feeding tube completely removed! Abby continues to need prayer for many areas of her recovery including her double vision which has not yet improved, strength and stability in her arms and legs, as well as her voice. She is excited to get home and we are praising God for the opportunity to have our family back under one roof for the first time in 6 months. Thank you all for your continued prayer for our precious girl.
