SO HERE IS THE REST OF THE SEARS STORY!!! tHIS IS THE EMAIL I SENT TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND I AM WAITING ON A RESPONSE BUT I AM NOT TRULY EXPECTING ONE: On November 1 I had 4 tires put on my 2004 Chevy Malibu in your Wilkes Barre,PA store. I was informed by the service manager during this installation that my car also needed a tie rod and and alignment. I agreed to these services as well. I drive only 4 miles to work and back with very little highway driving. Upon taking my car on the highway a week after this work was done it started shaking and became undriveable. I babied the car at 5 mph to get it to the closet garage who checked the car and found that the rear suspension was not re tightened and the tie rod was loose. For which I was charged $74.20 I returned to the Wilkes Barre store ato have a conversation with your service manager. He refunded the alignment and tie rod costs but refused the charges from the other garage telling me I should have put out more money to have the car towed to Sears. My first thought was not that the work from sears was bad. So I did what my first instinct was... Get the car to the closest garage and get it fixed. Justin informed me that the bill from the other garage was my problem and being that he is in the business He would have had the car towed to sears to be fixed. My questions to you are 1) is this good business practice to tell the customer that your first instinct is wrong because you are not a mechanic? 2) How was I to know what was actually wrong with the car until someone checked it and should I have told the other garage thanks for the info on my car now lets tow it to sears and Im not paying you for the information? Thats just ridiculous! I am not happy at all with the service I received. I will not ever bring a vehicle to Sears for any service and I truly would be hard-pressed to find myself shopping in your store. I may only be one customer but I do have a voice
