SO MR. TUNAI IS BORROWING PR PROPAGANDA FROM GOV.ALFRED MUTUA UNFORTUNATELY IT WONT WORK IN NAROK.....WAKE UP MR.26 IS APPROCHING SOON. Yesterday I had a fruitful meeting with the youth in Ildamat. This is part of my agenda to reach out to all the youth in the county, in every Ward, to engage with them and establish practical and transformative solutions to their needs. Appreciating the need within the county to harness the potential and meaningfully engage the youth in people-driven development, my administration is going to engage the youth of Narok County to ensure that the youth have access to and are capacity built in different areas of interest. These skills will form the basis of critical labour force upon which the economy of this county will rely to grow. In order to fully utilise the platform presented to the people and indeed the business and agricultural community of Narok County, in the next few months we shall host the first Narok County International Investors’ Conference, through which the county government intends to expand the space for investors who will avail opportunities to the local traders, youth and farmers to get information on proper and sustainable means of value addition to their variety of products. As we look forward toward that conference, various county ministries will be engaging with the youth to involve them in various levels of preparation. During the meeting, the subject of creating employment was strongly raised. I would like to indicate to the youth of Narok, as I did to those of Ildamat, that my administration favours the growth and development of the youth. That is why as Narok County government, we are finalizing discussions with an investor to set up a Sugar Factory in Transmara. This will be a strategic economy driver in Narok County. The youth will immensely benefit from the opportunities that this industry will present once relevant and crucial steps have been taken. My administration is keen on capacity building the youth through giving of skills which will give them greater opportunities to get employment or start their own businesses. As part of the initiative to improve the living standards of the youth in the county who intend to engage in unskilled labour, boda boda operators will be assisted to form cooperatives which will give them an edge in participating in the building of the economy and bargaining power in the running of the business in the county. I have directed a team to be constituted in the county to enable formation of those cooperatives. Further, as part of the empowerment initiative for these service providers, there are plans underway to help them acquire their own motorcycles for the boda boda business. My administration will strengthen programmes that will enable upcoming traders and enterprises to have the right skills and to access necessary financing or loans for growth. I strongly believe that the youth, women and persons with disability have a better chance for growth and to prosper since the advent of devolution. No one in this category will be left behind under my watch. That is why, in the days to come the County Assembly will work toward enacting proper legislation to cater for this. In the days to come I will hold even bigger meetings with the youth across various Wards in the county, together with the MCAs of those Wards. I appreciate every resident of Narok and every elected leader, and the dream of making Narok County the best place for investment and growth is only possible when we work together, when we reject tribalism and divisions of every kind. My office is open to every resident of Narok, and I look forward to addressing every issue in Narok County as God gives us life.
