SO WHAT IS THE REALITY ABOUT ASSEMBLY ELECTIONs 2014? I have been hearing conflicting reports, while many have told me that this time they did not see the usual feasts thrown in turns by different political parties in their villages, yet I have met people who swore that politicians have distributed money among the people in their villages. They had names and figures of how much was spent where. If this is true it makes a joke of the signatures that the top leaders of BJP and Congress, LBA, Anjuman-e Imamia and Moinul Islaam put on the Karzoo Declaration pledging to abstain from such CORRUPT ACTS.This would mean that not only are we not interested in stopping corruption but we want to actively sow the SEEDS OF CORRUPTION. Therefore I am hereby requesting the presidents of the political parties in Leh to make an official statement here as to whether their party distributed money and liquor in the recent assembly elections. I am sure all responsible parties will be sporting enough to make a statement here. In any case their silence will also hold a loud message for the public. And here below is the DVD that NLM sent to all the villages where a campaign team could not go. These DVDs were sent to the Gobas with the request that they screen it to the villagers as a part of Electoral Clean-up Campaign.
