SO happy to see someone call out celebrity fitness trainer Tracy Anderson for handing out unhealthy, untrue, emotionally-damaging fitness advice. She says, Spinning bulks the thighs. (referring to spin bikes) FIRST off, its clear that she has NO idea what weights and muscles actually do. Bulking is intentional and via heavy weight lifting and diet. Her statement is: A. Flat out unscientific and untrue B. Discouraging to women who want to do a healthy, fun exercise C. Shaming body size and muscles D. PART of the problem in fitness with the warped body image standards My thighs DONT touch and I LIKE it thatta way! Ladies, your body and thighs are supposed to be STRONG! Its a healthy thing! Dont let anyone shame your body parts or scare you into exercising! Man Id love to meet her toe-to-toe with my (normal) 100+# deadlifts, squats and 70# overhead presses and see if she calls me bulky!
