SO... on the national news this evening, this story was finally mentioned 14 minutes into the broadcast. and the big headline story this evening? outrage from certain folks that the USA didnt send a state representative to participate in a memorial march for Charlie Hedbo victims this past weekend. no victims are more important than any others...a life is a life is a life. i get it. but its interesting how some things are missed. 2000 dead. the worst massacre in Nigerian history. same basic players: fanatical islamic radicals. same basic storyline: executing their gods judgement on the unworthy. there was a difference though: in Nigeria, women, children, old folks, etc. were murdered. babies. reminds of Rwanda, years ago & how it was overshadowed. but whatever... this society is run in very singular way, and you can see it if you sort of de-focus on what they ask you to look at. sort of like those gag posters with hidden images on them, where the only way youll really SEE the image is to not try and SEE anything. very strange world...
