SOAP for November 8, Friday Hebrews 9 Scripture....Hebrews 9:27-28 Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God...In the same manner Christ also was offered in sacrifice once to take away the sins of many. He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are waiting for him. Observation....Christ died once for our sins and will return again, not to condemn us, but to save those who stand by him waiting. We all read, pray, or think about Christ dying on that cross for us and Im sure we dont dwell on the horror of that situation. But if we did, would it make us think about how we take Christs death for granted? He was in living form at the time and suffered severe pain, humiliation, and the terror of death just like we would. Application....Im going to try to think more in depth about what price Christ paid for our sins. With that realization in mind, Im going to be more aware of my journey with Christ and be someone worth dying for. Prayer....Dear Lord in Heaven...just to say thank you for dying for our sins doesnt seem enough. Please help us all to become stronger and to live our life to honor you so that we can reap what your life paid for. In Gods name...Amen What verse stood out to you in Hebrews 9?
