SOCIETY of VOICELESS SPECTATORS WARNING: This video may shock you! It is wiser to recognize that, as humans we are only a tiny part of the environment and in the scale of things, we certainly do not own it – in fact we are only a speck of dust – for in the end, nature will devour even our own bones… This week I have attended a meeting organized by the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (C.S.T.I.) promoting good environmental practices; Cypriot products; agro tourism and return back to nature’s way of producing traditional local Cypriot foods. The idea is commendable and I hope it becomes a great success! The same evening a friend send me a video, which shook me terribly! It confirmed my views that humanity nowadays has lost its way! Brutal capitalism for profit has won the day! Modern animal farming for food consumption has gone beyond the borders of brutality; in fact, it’s become barbaric! Insensitive to animal cruelty, hypocritical governments and politicians, tolerate brutal practices to continue without objection! They simply don’t care to do the right thing! Equally, desensitized to violence and cruelty, a silent spectator-society allows industries; banks, the media and governments to program consumers become voiceless drones!
