Groundbreaking has officially begun on “SOCO.” Short for Southern Comfort, this property was selected as one of the exclusive 2015 Southern Living Custom Builder Program Showcase Homes. Located at 6937 South Virginia Dare Trail in Nags Head, North Carolina, the property will be open for tours in early Spring(2015). Proceeds from the tours will benefit Operation FINALLY HOME, a non-profit organization that works to provide custom-made, mortgage-free, homes to America’s Heroes and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms and our way of life. OFH works with corporate sponsors, builder associations, builders, developers, individual contributors, and volunteers to help these Heroes and their families transition to the home front by addressing one of their most pressing needs – a home to call their own. In addition to being able to give back to such a worthy cause, becoming a part of this program means many things for us as a developer. We are granted access to over 1,000 exclusive plans in the Southern Living House Plans Collection, and we are also afforded the opportunity to participate in various conferences and workshops. Keeping our fingers on the pulse of the latest market trends and technologies is very important to us, and we are excited to see what else we can take away from this experience.
