SOHR focus on aerial bombardment. They say that in 2014: Total civilians killed: 6553 Children: 1814 Women: 965 Correction: While their estimates are rough estimates anyway, and while they are an opposition outlet that tries to exaggerate the number of victims governments firepower, in this specific case, there is one obvious fault with their number of civilians: in real civilian populations you get near 50/50 men and women. But their figures say that 14% of the total are women (965/6553). The obvious explanation (and that has been the case since the beginning) is that they are including many fighters as civilians and the head of the SOHR himself admitted it already. So ... the number of civilians is probably about 2000 ... twice the number of women who died (965). Needless to say ... that still 2000 sad stories ... 2000 families crying .... But thats 2000 out of the 76,000 estimated casualties for 2014 ... the vast majority of victims are dying by regular machine guns ... the same that rebels have ... the MIGs are not targeting civilians as they claim ... this is war ... and the killers are those who prevent serious dialogue.
