SOLD 1940s New Look Suit in Gabardine and Velvet. Paging Agent Carter! A truly exceptional set, made by Maisonette of Anderson, Indiana, a classic New Look suit that is perfect to the last dreamy detail: a slim, gently flared skirt, a nipped-waist jacket with a peplum hip, matching belt with a covers round buckle, 3/4 length wide cuffed dolman sleeves, the original covered buttons and a double layer collar and lapel, all crafted in black and white microcheck wool gaberdine with black velvet at the cuffs, collar and button centers! 3 Button Closure with an Internal Snap at the Waist on the Jacket, Side Metal Zip Closure with Button at the Waist on the Skirt. In unbelievable vintage condition, based on the conditions in which I found it, I believe the set was never worn. The jacket had a single, very faint brown water spot near the waist, which has been removed to the point that it is nearly undetectable (Im giving it one more round of spot cleaning now, I believe it will be removed completely). Other than this, both pieces are without a single notable flat. Measurements (flat): Jacket Up to 21 Pit to Pit (Dolman Sleeves make for a forgiving bust!), 14.5-15 Across the Waist, 21.5 Across the Bottom Edge of the Peplum, 23.5 Total Length down Center Back. Skirt, 14-14.5 Across Waist, 20-20.5 Across Hips, 29 Total Length from Waist to Hem with a full 3 of usable Length in the Hem, Belt 32.5 Total Length. $80 with Shipping Included within the US (will Ship Worldwide. Cameo Brooch is Not Included, but is Available!)
