SOLIDARITY NEEDED: Our friends in Florida need some help. If youre not familiar with the situation, the city of Ft. Lauderdale recently imposed the countrys strictest anti-homeless/anti-human legislation. A broad coalition led by Food Not Bombs is leading protests against it. Jillian Pim has been on a hunger-strike for two weeks now in protest. At least one 90-yr-old has already been arrested for breaking the law, simply by sharing food with someone in need. Activists on the ground in Ft. Lauderdale are now launching a creative protest aimed at some of the main backers of these atrocious laws, Ft. Lauderdales downtown business owners. You dont need to be anywhere near Florida to help out by calling the businesses listed (at the link below) and making sure they know were serious: if things dont change fast, Christmas is canceled!
