SOLITUDE (my poem #536, title requested by Einob Orerrueg) Where is the crowded room when you need to blend? Where are the happy thoughts when you need a friend? The memories that made the blocks of yourself, The pieces of the puzzles you found in the rain, Where are the constant smile, the constant reminder? Your heart is in isolation in the forest of questions, Your mind is at a loss in the jungle of mixed confusion, But you needed your privacy worth you hope to die for, A privacy this worse would mean you’re all alone. It is cold up there in the ivory tower that you built, Secluded from the world, all alone in your sleep, Dreaming that one day, someday you’ll be freed, From your own haunting fangs of regrets and misdeeds. Time alone for yourself is what you have dreamt of, Space where you can do and move your own world, Now that you have your wish in the plate on your table, You can grow your wealth in the bareness of your castle, Now that you have your dream in the curve of your palm, Do you still have to dream a life that you’d left behind? There was your river that flowed in the gorge of life, There were the lilies that bloomed for your abundance, You chose the fountain if you thought you were right, But it’s never too late if you’d just learn to keep the fight. Loneliness is a choice that you brought in your hold, Happiness is the same if you count what you’re worth, Solitude is your excuse to run from every painful road, But you have your free will to bring down your bolt! Strike the iron while it is smoldering in your chamber, Mold it, hold it, shape it as what you intend to cast it, Like the walls that you put up when you left the street, You are of your own self your boss and your blacksmith, You can liberate or imprison your dreams as you wish, Or you can choose to learn from your errors and mistakes, Then walk away a better person and bring your own frigate. Fire it, conquer it, exploit it to reinforce your ruined shield, But whatever that you’d do never forget your bitter tears, In the world of your solitude you came to know Patience, You waited night and day in the winters of your content, In the place of your seclusion you have met Tolerance, You’ve learned to accept without pains in your mind. In times of loneliness you came across with Understand, And in the summer of your pain you can still lend a hand. In the comfort of your tower you were alone and distant, But in that console of the rise you encounter miss Faith, Trust and confidence are what you needed to survive, Though it is hard to confide and trust is hard to find, Reliance and assurance are what you need to feel and hear, While you loom in the castle of your own dread and fear. Come down in the open and feel your free world again, Be drenched with opportunities and dance in the rain, In your days of cowering covering yourself with cloud, You have met with Light that all you needed is Love.
