SOMALIA: Al-Shabaab kills 7 in Mogadishu bombing At least seven people died in a bomb attack by Al-Shabaab in Mogadishu on Saturday. Police official and former secretary-general of the Mogadishu region, Abdikafi Hilowle, was among those killed by the attack. The bomb is believed to have been attached to Hilowes car. Al-Shabaab rebels claimed responsibility for the attack, calling Hilowle an enemy of Allah and accusing him of working with foreign intelligence services. Comment: Al-Shabaab has carried out a series of attacks in the capital in recent months. The group lost control of Somalias capital, Mogadishu, in 2011.
