SOME BOOKS TO READ (9) KENNETH E HAGIN: One amazing thing about Rev Hagins books is that they are extremely simple and ready-to-use. With every spiritual principle which he taught came an example of the proofs. I also came to admire Pa Hagin because, even though he was reputed to be a man that didnt talk much, he came to live his life before us all in his books. We knew his weaknesses and strengths, we saw him tempted to do wrong, we saw him overcome by remembering the word. We saw him in lack. We saw him prospered. We saw him in disobedience and in ignorance of Gods will and how he came back. His life showed the goodness of God to a man who was never born with a halo around his head, no thunderstorm to announce his coming into this world. A man that was raised by his grandmother...his father had left when he was a little child. His mother was a psycho case at a point in her life and had to be held down for her not to kill herself or harm others. What a childhood!! In fact he was born disadvantaged. With an incurable heart disease and blood disease, he became bedridden , paralysed from his waist down at 15. That was his grave but also the point of his resurrection. And he told us every bit of the story. Is Lazarus risen from the dead?! his grandpas voice still rings in my ears as if I was there! He was a man you read after and something tells you, this is my story, if he could do this I can do the same also!. He never put the attention on himself. It was always the Lord who can forget the phrase I did, she did and the Lord did! Hallelluyah!! That was a statement describing the healing of a woman. If I may speculate, I will say Rev Hagin wrote close to a hundred books in his lifetime! And those books are still speaking to us today. Really, in this very modern days, no man has any claims on ignorance. The facts and truths of Gods word are all there for us to access. If we sense a need in an area and we are ignorant of what Gods mind is on it, we can simply get into the bookstores and possibly Pa Hagin has something to say about it. Late in his life-walk, reacting to some errors which some so called faith people have moved into, he wrote the book The Midas Touch to correct some of these errors and to point people back to the main thing: a spiritual life of deep relationship with the Lord and walking in His ways. I dont think that book is very popular, but we may all need to go get a copy. The last words of a man defines his life and the intents of his actions. There are men who have walked here and blessed other men..and women...Rev Hagin sure was one of such men... He went home to be with the Lord at the age of 86, in the year 2013, a blessed man, a husband but also a father to millions who though had not seen him in the flesh had heard his tapes and read his books ...and who can forget the signature laughter and continual hitting on his bible to strike home the point he was making..hallelluyah! Hallelluyah! Hallelluyah! Bless God! Thank you Jesus!
