SOME REFLECTION ON THE BOOK GOD DELUSION BY RICHARD DAWKIN On pages 157-158 of “The God Delusion,” Dawkins summarises what he maintains as “the central argument of my book”: 1. One of the greatest challenges to the human intellect has been to explain how the complex, improbable appearance of design in the universe arises. 2. The natural temptation is to attribute the appearance of design to actual design itself. 3. The temptation is a false one because the designer hypothesis immediately raises the larger problem of who designed the designer. 4. The most ingenious and powerful explanation is Darwinism evolution by natural selection and we don’t have an equivalent explanation for physics. 5. We should not give up the hope of a better explanation arising in physics, something as powerful as Darwinism is for biology. God almost certainly does not exist. Its interesting to see that Dawkin is basically says that since darwanism is a powerful explanation therefore God almost certainly does not exist. But the irony is in his clip Dawkin says ” you dont have to be an atheist to believe in evolution,if ur aim is to propagandise evolution that certainly is the best technique,but if your aim is to kill religion as mine than evolution is manifestaly true,coz there are people out there who believes that u have to be an atheist to believe in evolution,so this is comparitively easy and i can turn all of them into atheist. Also Dawkin says that since there are people who believe that u have to be an atheist to believe in evolution then he can simple use evolution and turn them all into atheists. Now i feel that Dawkin is feeding upon the ignorance of masses who believe that u have to be an atheist to believe in evolution,while he himself says that u dont have to be an atheist to believe in evolution,knowing very well that u dont have to be an atheist to believe in evolution
